Even though the falls didn't have that much water in them, I declare Pedernales Falls State Park to be lovely! I'd like to go back and do some of the hiking trails -- we spent all our time crawling over rocks, sliding through sand, and looking at beautiful blue water.Further photographic evidence here.

When we were driving up to Lubbock, we crossed the Pedernales and it was so dry that you could probably walk in the channel for miles.
I really need to go to Pedernales Falls.
I camped at and hiked around Pedernales Falls several times during my first few years in Austin. Nice place.
